Toothpick-skewered, bacon-wrapped prunes has a history stretching back to the 19th century. Black Garlic Kitchen’s version is made from sweet pitted prunes stuffed with soft caramel Black Garlic wrapped in salty bacon.

Ingredients
6 rashers rindless streaky bacon
12 ready-to-eat pitted prunes
12 cloves Black Garlic
2 tbsp olive oil
Method
Preheat the oven to 190C/170Cfan/Gas5.
Cut each bacon rasher in half.
Make a small incision in each prune and insert each with 1 whole clove of Black Garlic.
Roll half a rasher of bacon around each stuffed prune. Put on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
Roast in the oven for 20 minutes or until the bacon is crisp.
