Method

Preheat the oven to 200C/180Cfan/Gas 6.

Lightly flour a clean work surface. Unroll one sheet of puff pastry. Brush the surface with egg; sprinkle three teaspoons of Black Garlic Powder evenly all over the pastry.

Scatter the grated cheese over the layer of Black Garlic Powder.

Place the second sheet of puff pastry on top of the cheese. Using a floured rolling pin roll over the top sheet of puff pastry pressing the cheese into the pastry with a rolling pin.

Use a 6cm star shaped cutter to cut out star shapes. Transfer the stars to a non-stick baking sheet.

Brush the tops with beaten egg. Add a dusting of Black Garlic Powder over each star followed by a sprinkling of chia seeds.

Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to allow the pastry stars to rest.

Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven.

Bake the stars for 20 minutes, turning the baking sheet halfway through the cooking time, to ensure an even bake. Cook until risen and golden brown.
