Ingredients<\/span><\/p>
3 rashers streaky bacon<\/li>
225g self-raising flour<\/li>
\u00bd tsp Black Garlic Salt<\/b><\/a><\/span>\u00a0or table salt<\/li>
25g cold butter \u2013 cut into pieces<\/li>
10 cloves Black Garlic<\/b><\/a><\/span> – chopped<\/li>
75g Cheddar cheese \u2013 grated<\/li>
150ml whole milk<\/li>
1 tbsp tomato ketchup or <\/b>BGK’s\u00a0Black Garlic Ketchup<\/b><\/u><\/a>\u00a0or commercially available Black Garlic Ketchup<\/b><\/a><\/span><\/li>
\u00bd tsp Worcestershire sauce<\/li>
Flour for dusting the work surface<\/li>

Method<\/span><\/p>
Fry the bacon until crisp. Set aside to cool. When cool cut the bacon into small pieces.<\/li>
Preheat the oven to 180C\/160Cfan\/Gas4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.\u00a0<\/li>
Sift the flour and salt into a large bowl. Add the butter then rub into the flour until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.<\/li>
Add the cooked bacon pieces, chopped Black Garlic cloves and 25g grated Cheddar cheese. Stir until the ingredients are well distributed.<\/li>
Mix the milk, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce in a jug. Pour into the bacon mixture and mix using a blunt knife until a dough forms.\u00a0<\/li>
Lightly flour the work surface then turn the dough onto it. Shape the dough into a circle 18cm in diameter. Brush the top with milk, scatter with the remaining Cheddar cheese and cut into 8 triangles using a large (non-serrated) knife.<\/li>
Arrange the triangles on the baking sheet. Bake for 20 – 30 minutes or until risen and golden brown.<\/li><\/ul>

To Serve: <\/b>serve warm with BGK\u2019s Black Garlic Herb Butter.<\/u><\/b><\/a><\/span><\/p>
Top Tip: <\/b>use kitchen scissors to cut the bacon into small pieces. The dough needs handling as little as possible.\u00a0 Work the dough until it only just comes together.
