Ingredients<\/span><\/p>
1 large whole onion – peeled<\/li>
6 dried spice cloves<\/li>
1 pint milk<\/li>
1 bay leaf<\/li>
8 black peppercorns<\/li>
120g white breadcrumbs<\/li>
\u00bd tbsp Black Garlic Paste<\/b><\/li>
50g butter<\/li>

Method<\/span><\/p>\n

Stud the onion with the dried spice cloves.<\/li>\n
Put the milk, bay leaf and peppercorns into a saucepan. Add the whole studded onion. Bring to the boil then remove from the heat. Leave to infuse for 15 minutes.<\/li>\n
Remove the onion from the milk mixture and pass the liquid through a sieve into a separate saucepan. <\/li>\n
Add the breadcrumbs and Black Garlic Paste to the sieved milk. Simmer over a low heat until the breadcrumbs are absorbed, stirring occasionally. <\/li>\n
Stir in the butter.<\/li>\n
Season to taste with salt and freshly ground black pepper.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Top Tip: <\/b>BGK’s<\/span> Black Garlic Bread Sauce <\/b>can be made ahead of time. If making a day or two before, loosen the sauce with a little milk when re-heating.
