A rich creamy ranch dressing blended with dried herbs and savoury-sweet Black Garlic served drizzled over an American cobb salad made with rows of lettuce, hard boiled eggs, chicken, bacon, avocado, tomatoes, sweetcorn and Black Garlic cloves.
Streaky bacon rashers – fried until crisp then chopped
Hard boiled eggs – peeled and roughly chopped
Sweetcorn kernels
6 cloves Black Garlic – chopped
Method
To make Black Garlic buttermilk ranch dressing – put all the ingredients into a small food processor and blend until smooth. Refrigerate until ready to use.
To assemble the cobb salad – place the lettuce, chicken, tomatoes, avocado, bacon, sweetcorn, egg and chopped Black Garlic cloves in rows on a plate.
To Serve: serve the salad with Black Garlic buttermilk dressing on the side.
Top Tip: there are no ‘hard and fast’ rules for the quantities or ingredients in this cobb salad; the amount is dependent on the number of servings – the photo shows enough salad ingredients to serve 2 people.
